The Middle

Where else should any good story start but the middle? Well I am sort of somewhere in the middle of my first online business venture: Sports Arbitrage Trading and website design and editing. Most lilkely I am in the middle which is still a long way away from the end, but its still a middle :)

FINE THEN, lets start at the beginning

I was introduced to sports arbing the way most people were, by an RiskFreeProfit member. However I was introduced by a close friend who was introduced by a guy at his work, rather than some random online link or forum. My friend had already made one trade (20% one too!) and then he decided to show us. 4 of us started to explore the idea. We designed excel documents trying to calculate the potential profits, we looked into all of the laws, the rules, the terms and conditions trying to figure out whether we could do this or not and whether it would work. We spent at least a month of research, and in this time we visited all of the bookmakers in SureBetPro and made a spreadsheet cataloguing all of the withdrawl and deposit terms used with Neteller by those bookmakers.

While collecting all of this information I noticed that I couldn't find anywhere online which provided this information....I saw an opportunity to help out :) That was the beginning of http://www.surebetbookies.com which has just recently become http://www.sportsarbitrageguide.com

Originally I was just going to provide bookmaker links with relevent information, but as I started making the website, I realised there was a big demand out there for an all purpose guide to sports arbitrage. Lots of people wanted to know what it is, how it works, whether it can work, and whether the service providers are worth it. So I started trying to answer these questions. And hence the website evolved, increased in complexity and lead to the eventual name change. SureBetBookies was a great name for a website which provides information on bookmakers used by SureBetPro. It wasn't a perfect name for a website which does everything my site now does though....so I had to upgrade...

And that roughly brings us back to the middle.

Sports Arbitrage Guide (SAG) has just merged with DreamTeamMoney (DTM) forums to provide more interactivity on the forums as well as more general traffic to the site. DTM created a new sports arbitrage section http://www.dreamteammoney.com/index.php?showforum=153act=ref&id=945 which I have been made the moderator of. I am doing my best to bring more people into these forums to not only help out the DTM forums in general, but also for the benefit of all readers of SAG: Having a place to have your questions answered and a place to share experiences is very important in my mind.

As for the Arb trading itself, I think I have moved through the rough early stages. I am finally making a consistent profit, and I have started posting the results of my trading in the DTM forums http://www.dreamteammoney.com/index.php?showtopic=1897act=ref&id=945 and I think I will start posting them here too.

Well, anyway, welcome to my new blog dedicated to my sports arbitrage escapades. I hope it helps any newbies looking into the idea.
